Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics

Faculty & Staff

 

Advanced Diagnostics & Therapeutics consists of a core group of highly enthusiastic faculty (program PIs) who lead an evolving set of programs that are specifically intended to be multidisciplinary in nature and based on solid scientific and engineering research programs. Surrounding this core are supporting faculty that share interest in these problems, provide additional resources, and bring a diversity of opinions and skill sets. Around these is yet another layer of faculty that demonstrate additional interest, and although they may not contribute significantly at the onset of the programs, they are expected to participate as the programs grow. A major advantage of this layered organization is the ability to adjust programs accordingly; to grow, shrink, or add new programs that build capacity and external linkages (to other ND initiatives or external academic or industrial partners).

 

The initiative launched with 26 affiliated faculty, but that number has grown to more than 40 from Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Chemistry and Physics at Saint Mary’s College, and Biological Sciences.

 

In addition, AD&T staff provide assistance in areas ranging from partner identification and collaboration-building, pre-award support, translational research development, and research communications.
